Likewize is searching for a Software Asset Manager to join our team at our global Headquarters in Southlake, TX.

In this role, you will provide expertise on Software Asset Management life cycle, including analyzing and redesigning Software Asset Management process, software requests, license pooling/checks, deployment and retirement.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Facilitate the business’ needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected products by ensuring that maintenance, support, and upgrade
  • Manage software assets as they relate to the ITAM lifecycle for assigned portfolio of products/services and geographies, working towards consistent global coverage and responsibility
  • Analyze large volume of software entitlement and deployment data
  • Build and manage complex licensing models and optimize our license usage based on key license drivers (headcount, volume)
  • Evaluate licensing options, named versus processor licensing, on premise versus cloud, owned versus SAAS, and provide recommendations
  • Report on external spend with suppliers of technology labor, software and hardware services
  • protection renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance of their expiration.
  • Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services. Follow through with vendors and Humana Associates to obtain identified savings.
  • Manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings.
  • Collect information for budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.
  • Enter and maintain information in a database format to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts, and cost. Assist in the development of reporting to address management requirements to obtain information.
  • Communicate through email, individual interview, group meetings, and presentations to end users, management, developers, and vendors.
  • Respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management data information.

Requirements/Skills

If you are who we are looking for, you will have the following education, skills and/or experience.
  • 5+ years leading an ITAM program in an enterprise environment; 10+ years of experience working in an enterprise IT environment; 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing and managing a Software Asset Management Tool and SAM practice
  • Prior working knowledge of the licensing of at least two of the following major software license providers including: Microsoft, Oracle, SAG, SAP
  • Experience with data analysis tools including Excel, Access, and SQL; experience with market leading SAM tools including at least one of the following providers: ServiceNow, Flexera or Snow
  • The IT asset manager must have in-depth knowledge and experience of the following:
o Technology asset life cycle (whether digital technology, information, financial or physical assets), best practice governance, tools and services
o Policy, process, and procedure development and implementation
o Technology contracts and their likely cost implications through the technology asset life cycle
o Third-party vendor management experience in an enterprise-wide ITAM engagement
o Data processing, analysis, and quality management tools
o Additionally, an understanding of IT business continuity, cybersecurity, and integrated risk management and optimization methodologies is highly desirable, along with knowledge of IT management
o ITIL v3 Foundation certification and Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) preferred
  • Working knowledge of licensing models for below mentioned
o Microsoft Products
o IAM Products (eg. Okta, SailPoint, CyberArk)
o Oracle
o SAG
o AWS
o Azure
o Procedures and metrics
o Software publishers' licensing models and software deployment and use rights
o Symantec
o SAP
