Software Development Support to be provided for Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma. The project includes technical contracted services solutions that will accelerate product delivery, enhance data analytics, and optimize the effectiveness of resources provided for Testing and Evaluation. This effort requires a comprehensive solution that seamlessly integrates the personnel, processes, systems, and data necessary to deliver data packages, a measure of effectiveness reliably, make recommendations for improved effectiveness and recommend improvements to the Marine Aviation user community.
Duties and expectations include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop, test, and implement new software programs.
- Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues.
- Design and update software database. This includes but is not limited to Software Applications, Web Sites, Data Communication Processes, and User Interfaces
- Test, maintain, and recommend software improvements to ensure robust functionality and optimization.
- Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues.
- Work with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing.
- Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability.
- Resolve complex technical design issues.
- Development of technical specifications and plans
- Analyze user requirements and convert requirements to design documents.
- Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to business challenges.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Secret Security Clearance at the start
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field.
- Desired: Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP)
- Working knowledge of R, C#, asp.net, and SQL
- Travel required two weeks per year.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and written.
- Ability to multi-task and employ problem-solving skills.
