Description: NSI requires a Software Engineer to support the B-2 Program efforts. In this role you will provide full-spectrum Software Engineer Support to the B-2 Program Office within the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at WPAFB, Ohio. This position includes both tele-work and government-site work requirements. Assist in managing and organizing resources and personnel needed to meet the objectives of each task efficiently and effectively, as well as exploring new approaches as applicable within the performance of these tasks.Essential Job Functions: Apply software engineering knowledge in support of the design, development, T&E, implementation, maintenance, and administration of new and/or existing software systems. Demonstrate understanding of systems acquisition, system and sub-system level hardware and software integration, systems requirements analysis and allocation, computer systems architecture, and systems and subsystems T&E. Support developing/updating applicable program documentation for software engineering relevant requirements and the development of the software development strategy and SDP. Apply an understanding of aeronautical vehicle systems and/or airborne or related ground systems avionics operational flight program capabilities to support the core engineering tasks as they relate to software engineering, software security, and Cybersecurity. Support the tasks required to design, develop, integrate, and field IFCs. Assist in maintaining enterprise-wide project awareness for companion efforts and IFC fielding.
Location: Beavercreek, OH
Education: An ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
Experience: 15 years of experience and at least 5 years of Department of Defense experience is required.
Allowable Substitutions: Master’s Degree plus 12 years of experience.
Security Clearance: Secret
