The successful candidate will assist the 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (350 SWW) at Eglin AFB, Florida, which is the technical focal point for all Electronic Warfare (EW) support of warfighter systems for the Combat Air Forces (CAF). The mission of the 350 SWW is to develop and test Mission Data (MD) to defeat enemy radar and infrared guided missile systems, thus enhancing aircrew and aircraft survivability in combat. This mission includes operational EW testing, MD development, validation & verification, force development evaluation execution and facilitating foreign materiel exploitation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Execute development and maintenance of computer applications that support Electronic Warfare (EW) systems that is used by engineers to review, modify, and export data in various formats.
• Participate in the requirements definition, performance specifications, design, analysis, simulation, test and evaluation of EW integrated systems and equipment.
• Identifying issues and developing solutions to hardware and software issues.
• Applying engineering, analytical, and technical disciplines and skills to establish and maintain long-term engineering, operation, and maintenance support for the in-service system capabilities.
• Develop Application Programming Interface (API’s) to simplify design, administration and use of new tools and products, or manage existing ones.
• Assist with developing desktop and client/server applications with C++, ASP.Net, and SQL Server, troubleshooting and fixing customer issues, deploying software applications at customer site, developing plans, guidelines, or controls and working with other computer scientists, software application developers, specialists, and technicians.
• Advise and assist with the development of tools to support the reduction, filtering, conversion to analysis format, and analysis of data involving EW systems.

• Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
• BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics plus 3 years of direct/related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Ability to work on an integrated, multi-discipline team.
• Experience developing significant, complex software applications
• Experience with gathering requirements from customer and translate into stories for the developer to develop from.
• Experience with understanding underlying code structures and knowing how and where to incorporate new functionality, while maintaining clean source code and code efficiency – and communicating to the developer for implementation.
• Experience developing software applications using C# and .NET.
• Experience using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
• Experience developing both Windows and internet applications.
• Experience with development of Application Programming Interface (API’s).
