Software Quality Assurance Analyst Lead

Corporate Services is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be a team leader responsible for guiding a talented group of QA Analysts, maturing our delivery processes across functional areas, and maintaining ownership of the QA process for the Corporate Services Technology Team. One of the primary focal points of this role will be to bring your knowledge of QA practices to our team by mentoring and leading by example. You will help establish quality benchmarks and create plans to help achieve those goals. You will work alongside your team to create a focus on automation to help build confidence in regression cycles and enable more rapid development. By joining this team, you will be part of a group that is driven to automate, innovate, and advocate for quality throughout the SDLC. Additionally, you will work directly with other Team Leads, Business Users, Product Owners, Software Engineers, and Analysts.

Responsibilities:

  • Owner of the QA practice for the Corporate Services Technology Team.
  • Provide leadership by actively mentoring team members on the development of their QA and technical skills.
  • Seek to find inefficiencies in team processes, propose changes for the group to evaluate, and implement changes to develop and mature the QA practice for the team at large.
  • Advocate quality in every stage of the Agile development process.
  • Promote communication to enhance and encourage team member and business awareness of QA requirements.
  • Work within the enterprise to ensure team member and process effectiveness by monitoring performance and other key metrics.
  • Work with the business and technology delivery team to ensure projects are delivered with quality, on time, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with team members and business partners to understand key processes and technologies within the applications we support.

Required Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead a team.
  • Experience in defining and maturing a QA practice within an organization.
  • Experience in multiple forms for testing including, but not limited to: Unit testing, performance testing, integration testing, manual testing, automated testing into a CI/CD pipeline, etc.
  • Experience in developing a test strategy and test plan for UAT, End to End testing, and Regression Testing.
  • Understanding the development and implementation of a Quality Assurance structure and knowledge of best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of team members, including executives, managers, IT professionals, and subject matter experts.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
  • Ability to complete all work tasks in a timely manner while remaining flexible to competing demands and adjust priorities.
  • Ability to manage one or more simultaneous projects.
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor other QA team members.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical and business experience.
  • Previous experience managing a team is preferred.
  • Experience in functional and load test automation for REST APIs and back-end functionality.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with web service testing.
  • Experience with UI testing and UI test automation.
  • Proficiency with relational databases.
  • Agile certification or experience as a Scrum Master.
