Green Collar Crew, an Award-Winning EPA Energy Star Partner of the Year with a 5-Star Google Review Rating, is seeking Solar Energy Consultants (Closers) to help homeowners and small business owners switch to solar to power their homes and buildings, save money, and help the environment. This position is an excellent opportunity to enter or expand into the growing solar industry and make a real difference.

WHERE YOU’LL WORK

We are based in Broomfield, CO & Austin, TX, and service the Colorado Front Range (Fort Collins to Pueblo), the Colorado Grand Valley, and Austin, TX. This position is for the Denver, CO Region. You will define your own smaller geographic territory close to where you live to reduce drive time. Plan on joining our Crew Meetings once or twice per week where you will receive continued training and professional development coaching.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Our Energy Consultants work independently and with a Sales Crew. You will be generating your own leads, working provided warm leads and closing residential and small commercial solar projects.

  • Self-generate leads through social media, public events, networking, call lists, etc.
  • Self-generate leads by canvassing select neighborhoods
  • Work provided warm leads
  • Close residential and commercial solar projects
  • Participate in our initial 6-Week Solar Apprenticeship Program and Solar Camps to help ensure your success
  • Attend regular Crew Meetings for ongoing training and support

WHAT YOU NEED

If you have prior sales experience, extensive customer service experience or have generated solar leads but have not closed solar projects, you will join the Crew as a Solar Apprentice and participate in our 6-Week Apprenticeship Program to prepare you to close solar projects. If you already have solar closing experience, you may immediately begin closing solar projects after a short training and onboarding program.

  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and discipline
  • Passion to make a difference and help our environment
  • Willingness to work outside in various weather conditions
  • Driver’s license and transportation
  • High school or equivalent degree
  • Bilingual English and Spanish speakers are a plus
  • Internet-enabled mobile device
  • Prior sales experience or extensive customer services is required
  • Prior solar sales experience is not required
  • We will provide you with state-of-the-art software and a platform to support your work

FINANCIAL COMPENSATION YOU WILL RECEIVE

Generating leads and closing solar projects is hard work and requires not only self-motivation but also discipline. Successful Energy Consultants receive high financial reward for their work. Compensation is provided by commissions for closed solar projects + bonuses. Our commission and bonus program is among the highest paid in the solar industry.

  • High Project Commission (1) + $3k Solar Apprentice Bonus (2)
  • $168k+ is possible for even part-time Energy Consultants
  • $348k+ is possible for full-time Energy Consultants with no cap on income
  • $500k+ is possible for experienced Energy Consultants who choose to coach and mentor Solar Apprentices
  • Opportunity to receive warm leads or scheduled appointments through our Lead Participation Program (after advancing to Solar Coaching Position)
  • Weekly and Monthly bonus opportunities
  • Bi-weekly payments

(1) Commissions on projects that move forward are based on solar system size measured in kW. A generous portion of the commission is paid at the front end of the project.
