BJC HealthCare is seeking a Full-Time OBGYN Sonographer at our Women’s Healthcare facility located in St. Louis, MO.

Position Details:

• Shift Hours: Mon-Thurs (8:00am- 4:30pm) & Fri (8:00am-4pm)
• 12-15 ultrasounds per day, GYN and OB ultrasounds (examples: transvaginal, transabdominal, viability, cervical length, biophysical profiles, check placenta, growth, etc.)
• Prefer 3-5 years of OB/GYN experience but not required
• Imaging – Sonography, ultrasound Tech, RDMS

Role Purpose

The Registered Diagnostic Sonographer performs ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to abdominal, small parts, and obstetrical, to adult and pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders, and assist with needle procedures (i.e., biopsies, drainages, needle placements, etc.). May also perform vascular procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound imaging examinations.
• Performs studies independently in the Operating Room and or portable exams as required by the work area.
• Maintains equipment and supplies.
• Ensures proper documentation of procedures.
• Collaborates with Radiologist and medical staff for diagnosis.
