The company is a global supplier of Metal-Organics offering market-driven solutions to the paints & coatings, printing inks, unsaturated polyester, polyurethanes, petrochemical, specialty chemicals, lubrication, and fuels industries. In addition, we develop specialty catalysts and catalyst blends for specific applications to meet specific and demanding performance requirements
We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on sourcing and procurement specialist. The position entails full supply chain planning and management: managing the timely delivery of raw materials and related production scheduling at contract manufacturers in the United States, negotiating purchases of raw materials and finished goods from overseas vendors for use in both manufacturing and sale, maintenance of product specification parameters in the ERP system of record and various other responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7-10 years in the supply chain, purchasing, and procurement positions with progressively increasing responsibilities
- Must be extremely comfortable and have an excellent working knowledge of production management and planning in ERP systems – INFOR, SAP, MS Dynamics, Oracle Manufacturing, and others. Direct experience with INFOR SX.e, a plus
- Must be extremely comfortable and have an excellent working knowledge of excel
- Must have experience working in lot-controlled/tracking manufacturing environments
- Must have a disposition of attention to detail
- Must have the disposition to work as a team player on a hands-on basis
- Must be able to interface and work collaboratively with various teams throughout the organization – Customer Service, Sales, Finance, and Regulatory.
Responsibilities:
- Assist supply chain management with the review of FG product availability requirements based on projected, existing, and historical demand
- Assist supply chain management with the issuance of purchase orders, considering such factors as Raw material cost and availability, Transport cost, and Lead time
- Maintain relationships and negotiate delivery terms with raw material and FGI vendors
- Manage all importation processes, including relationships with custom brokers
- Assist supply chain management in the coordination and production planning with toll manufacturers
- Handle and assist in planning RM inventories in relation to production planning
- Oversee “Value Added” production within the ERP system (INFOR SX.e)
- Receive material in the ERP system upon receipt of appropriate documentation
- Receive material in the ERP system upon receipt of appropriate documentation ensuring 1) test results match product specifications and 2) vendor invoices are delivered to accounting in a timely fashion and resolving any PO match discrepancies
- Maintain up-to-date, current fully costed BOM analysis based on current raw material, packaging, and tolling costs
- Assist supply chain management in the periodic review of, and inventory planning with respect to budgetary forecast and sales trends
- Maintain and oversee product quality investigations with suppliers

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
