Job description

Procurement-Sourcing Specialist with industrial experience, advanced Excel skills, strong attention to detail, negotiation expertise, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and the ability to build vendor relationships. This is a permanent position with a Monday through Friday schedule hours 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, pay range is $19-$24 DOE and an exceptional benefits package.

This Specialist would need to have a background in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management, and at least 5 years of recent experience sourcing materials. They should be proficient in Excel, with the ability to analyze data, create reports, and manage large amounts of information. Attention to detail is critical in procurement, where small errors can have a significant impact on cost and quality.

Negotiation skills are also crucial, as the procurement process often involves haggling over prices, delivery times, and other terms with vendors. A successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a proven history of successful negotiations, where they were able to secure favorable terms for their organization while maintaining positive relationships with vendors.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this position. The ability to communicate with vendors, internal supervisors, and other team members clearly and effectively is critical to the success of the procurement process.

Finally, vendor relationship building is another critical skill for this position. A successful candidate should be able to build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, fostering collaboration and open communication.
