JOB DUTIES

  • Effectively keeps track of stocking and storage, while adhering to the first-in first-out protocol
  • Create schedules for kitchen staff to ensure optimum resource management and speed of service
  • Train new and existing kitchen staff on the preparation, arrangement and plating of dishes per the current menu
  • Ensure all staff members adhere to culinary standards and regulations
  • Track, record and replenish inventory as needed
  • Cross-train kitchen staff on multiple stations
  • Research new developments in healthy cuisines and apply knowledge to your repertoire

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 3+ years’ culinary experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
  • Experience preparing new menu items
  • Knowledge of best practices for training kitchen staff and implementing kitchen procedures
  • Knowledge of profit and loss statements
  • Knowledge of building and managing budgets
  • Knowledge of SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Coaching and developing experience
  • Ability to manage more than 25 employees
  • High level of creativity and reliability
  • Flexible schedule required
  • Familiarity with menu costing procedures
  • Must be Serv-Safe Certified upon employment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
