Sous Chef Responsibilities

• Directs and participates in food preparation. Assists in writing the daily prep list and making sure staff is being productive.
• Responsible for consistent quality of all food offerings.
• Oversees and supervises kitchen staff.
• Assists with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies.
• Ensures all food stations are clean and compliant with food safety standards.
• Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen’s performance.
• Works with prep/line team in food preparation during high demand meal periods.
• Schedules staff shifts and inputs schedules into 7 Shifts .
• Trains new employees.
• Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment.
• Solves problems that arise and seizes control of issues in the kitchen.
• Work closely with Director of operations, owners, and other managers to ensure demands of the business are being met
• Help bridge the gap between front of the house and back of the house
• Set the tone for the kitchen. Has direct obligation to help staff grow and learn in a positive way as directed by ownership

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

• Managment: 2 years (Preferred)
