JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Sous Chef

Reports to: Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine

Position Summary:

The Sous Chef is responsible for the kitchen end of the food and beverage department. With reports to Executive Chef. This position will help train and work with food cost, etc. to ensure all food sales and execution is in compliance with food and safety laws.

Specific Job Functions:

1. Implement and assist Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine in all BOH employee training.

2. Assist in developing and enforcing strong communication skills between kitchen staff and FOH staff.

3. Will work and assist Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine in both banquet and a la carte services.

4. Assist in inspecting and enforcing safety and sanitation daily.

5. Help to ensure that all standard operations are in place and enforced daily.

6. Maintain Serv Safe.

7. Work with Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine on new menus for the restaurant as well as golf and banquet packages.

8. Inventory and order products and supplies for the restaurant with approval of the Executive Chef.

9. Develop new season food specials and menus when required by Executive Chef.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

  • Easton, PA 18042: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Culinary experience: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Cooking: 1 year (Preferred)
