Job description

Position specific qualifications:

(A) Are at least 18 years of age;

(B) Have at least a high school diploma, GED, or Licensing approved equivalent, or completed 10th grade and are in the process of obtaining a GED within the next 12 months.

(C) Have Early Childhood Trainings and/or Childcare Certificate of Mastery is preferred.

(D) Have Early Childhood Trainings in Positive Discipline, Special Needs, or Autism Spectrim Disorders

Position specific responsibilities:

(A) Have the primary responsibility of the direct care of children with behavioral issues and/or disabilities between the age of 1 and 4 years;

(B) Participate in:

(1) individualized lesson plan implementation

(2) classroom arrangement

(3) parent communication and family engagement

(4) program development

Teachers are required to:

(1) Obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification within 90 days

(2) Complete free online orientation prior to being left alone with children

(3) Complete child care specific fingerprinting through Identogo (we will schedule for you). These are $58.25.

(4) Complete a $20 online Reducing the Risk of Sudden Infant Death training prior to starting.

(5) Complete a $20, 20 hour, online Entry Level Child Care Training within 90 days.

Teachers must :

(1) love working with and guiding children in a positive, developmentally appropriate way;

(2) be able to be the sole teacher in the classroom according to state ratios for the age you are working with;

(3) be dependable and responsible to work your assigned work schedule each day.
