Key Responsibilities:
The Specialist, Business Diversity Programs is responsible supporting the development and management of programs and metrics to help United meet its supplier diversity goals. You will work with both internal and external partners including diverse suppliers.
This role will gather and interpret data for the purpose of advancing United’s Business Diversity programs.
We are looking for a collaborative team member passionate about leading change and who embodies creativity and adaptability.
This role is based in United’s Headquarters in Chicago, Illinois and his hybrid, averaging two times per week in the office.
- Support the development and execution for our Business Diversity programs (Ambassador Program, Certification Program, Mentor Protégé Program, etc.)
- Aid in the day-to-day management of national partners
- Help coordinate external partner events such as the National conferences, Supplier forums, etc.
- Gather and interpret data to determine if program goals are being achieved
- Assist with team administrative functions such as calendar management, budget, meeting coordination, etc.

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of related experience
- Creative problem solver with a record of pushing boundaries and trying new things
- Effective listener with ability to consider and incorporate multiple viewpoints
- Effective communication skills and ability to be a persuasive advocate
- Experience working with multiple partners
- Strong, timely communications and feedback
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
