- Providing services to address the needs of young people ages 17-21 who are transitioning out of resource home/foster care, or are already living independently, and need individualized skill development and support to transition successfully into adulthood
- Skill development may include obtaining and maintaining safe and suitable housing, continuing their education, learning independent living skills, obtaining and maintaining employment, building a support system, and remaining free from legal involvement
- Specialists primarily work in the field and will have access to an agency vehicle, cell phone, and laptop
- Specialists will be provided with training in an evidenced based model utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, and are expected to adhere to this model throughout the intervention
- Clinical Supervision for licensure is available
Minimum Requirements:
- Flexible schedule
- Work independently and in a team
- Organizational skills
- Knowledge of the community and ability to advocate for client youth needs
- Bachelor’s degree in a social service related field, plus one year of experience
- Master’s degree preferred
- Driver’s license with a clean driving record is required
- Bilingual preferred
