Partial List of Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide for adequate learning experiences within the framework of the prescribed curriculum.
- Help each child in developing an understanding of himself/herself leading to a positive self-concept and an awareness of the need for attitudes and actions which will result in good citizenship.
- Provide planned learning experiences which will adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
- Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to provide an effective learning environment.
- Evaluate students’ academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, prepare progress reports and communicate with parents as needed on the individual student’s progress.
- Identify student’s needs and cooperate with other professional staff members in assessing and helping to solve student’s health, attitude and learning problems.
- Create with student, involvement in a functional and attractive environment for learning.
- Select and requisition books, instructional aids, and instructional supplies, and maintain appropriate inventory records.
- Supervise students in out-of-classroom activities during the working day.
- Participate in curriculum improvement and other developmental programs within the school assignment and/or on a district level.
- Share in the responsibilities for school activities.
- May plan and coordinate the work of student teachers and staff assistants.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $89,064.00 - $125,679.00 per year
