Job description
Antech Systems seeks a SQL Data Analyst to support research in a number of areas, including Navy maintenance, procedures, policy and best practices. Prior knowledge of Navy maintenance systems is not required. This can be learned on the job. Applicants must have knowledge of database structure and design, query and report writing. Be able to analyze data and think critically. Be proficient with Microsoft Office Applications. Having previous experience with Microsoft SQL Server products is necessary. Have work experience performing data analysis or independent research experience is preferred. Possess excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. Be poised and articulate. Be able to interact well with people in a team environment and also work independently. Be able to multi-task.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or Statistics.
- Two to five years of related work experience.
Required Skills:
- Must demonstrate knowledge in SQL queries.
- Demonstrate understanding with Bitbucket or other version control hosting software.
- Experience with JIRA/Confluence or other project management tracking system.
- Develop research reports.
- Analyze data from various sources, apply critical thinking and discover patterns.
- Identify opportunities to create efficiencies through automation or enhancement of existing processes.
- Ability to demonstrate the learning capability to cope with developing fast pace, complex SQL queries under guidance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
