This Sr. Accounting Manager position is part of the Accounts Payable Team within the Dish Accounting, Planning and Tax Department.
Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:
- Manages Accounts Payable that includes, Vendor Relations, and the AP disbursement group which handles all check disbursements, 1099 and tax related matters
- Manages up to 10 team members entering invoices, including ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
- Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensures accuracy of financial statements
- Provides accounting assistance to project managers and operations staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.
- Acts as a liaison between the company and external auditors to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained for historical purposes.
- Selects and hires employees for the groups mentioned above. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Motivates and rewards employees including providing salary increases, bonuses and promotions within allocated budgets and company guidelines.
A successful Accounts Payable Senior Accounting Manager will have the following
- Minimum of 5 years managing Accounts Payable including high volume, automated processes, invoice imaging solutions, purchasing cards
- ERP experience including 3 way match required
- 4 year degree desired – Accounting or Finance
- Experience managing a minimum of 8 direct reports
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Salary Range: USD $87500.00 - $135000.00 / Year
