Senior Auditor – Information Technology (Infrastructure and Security & Resilience)

Citizens is looking for a motivated, hardworking individual to join our Information Technology Internal Audit team as a Senior Auditor! We are a team of more than 100 skilled professionals charged with consistently providing the Board, Audit Committee, Shareholders, and Executive Management with an independent and objective view of the effectiveness of the bank’s control environment, risk management practices, and culture. A Senior Auditor will:

  • Identify risks and controls in key businesses and develop test work to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the controls.
  • Perform detailed test work, applying bank, industry, and regulatory guidance when assessing business line practices and procedures.
  • Produce clear, complete, concise, and well-organized workpapers in accordance with Internal Audit’s Methodology.
  • Act as lead auditor on sections of large audit engagements or lead auditor on small audit engagements, with responsibility for supervision of Staff Auditors.
  • Collaborate across the larger Internal Audit team to support the assessment of technology-related risk in bank businesses.
  • Execute certain routine team responsibilities, such as performance of continuous monitoring activities or team scheduling, or representing the Internal Audit team at meetings with business line management.
  • Travel on a limited basis (<5%).

Qualifications include:

  • 3+ years of experience in an internal audit function or public accounting firm, or in a technology or security role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry, with willingness to learn cloud-related technologies.
  • OR, 3+ years’ experience working with cloud computing related technologies: IaaS/SaaS/PaaS, DevOps, web application technology, operating system, database, and networking with willingness to learn audit processes, procedures, and frameworks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively build and manage relationships with stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Ability to train and develop junior team members
  • Must be able to effectively assess new and changing technology across bank functions.
  • Experience working in multiple security domains such as platform hardening, vulnerability management, web application and browser security, penetration testing, cryptography, network protocols, and secure network design.
  • Knowledge of and experience with core IT infrastructure platforms (e.g., Windows, Unix, Mainframe, SQL, Oracle, etc.).
  • CISA, CISSP, AWS CCP, MS Azure or CCSP certification desired

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Systems, or business discipline required

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5 pm

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
