Job Description:
Connecticut Calibration Labs is seeking a Calibration Technician/Metrologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in calibration, instrumentation, electrical and mechanical with excellent attention to detail, technical skills, and customer service skills. This role involves performing calibration and repairs on a wide range of electronic, mechanical, and dimensional measuring equipment, as well as delivering exceptional customer service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
Perform calibration and repairs on various electronic, mechanical, and dimensional measuring equipment.
Adhere to established calibration procedures, technical specifications, and industry standards.
Maintain accurate records of calibration data and instrument history.
Communicate with clients regarding calibration schedules, instrument conditions, and recommendations for repairs.
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures to determine necessary repairs.
Provide exceptional customer service, including responding promptly to client inquiries and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of calibration processes.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in calibration, instrumentation, or metrology.
Strong technical skills and knowledge of measuring equipment and calibration procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
Strong customer service skills, including effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Travel to client sites as needed.
Familiarity with calibration software and data management systems preferred.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and other software applications.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Military experience preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.34 - $31.73 per hour
