Sr Coding Support Specialist-Hyrbrid
Job description
We are currently seeking a Senior Coding Support Specialist for our Intent Medical Group NCH located at 4901 Searle Parkway-Corporate in Skokie, IL. This is a full-time position and is benefits eligible. Monday through Friday, Full-time 40 hours per week. This is a hybrid schedule that is primarily remote work.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

Assist specialty physician with assignment ICD 10, CPT and HCPCS codes that are not on the reference list

Determines if service, procedure and diagnosis codes are accurately identified and sequenced on the reference list. Collaborate with assigned physician and other clinical staff for clarification or changes on reference list

Identifies incomplete or incompatible linking of procedures to diagnosis codes, and inaccurate use of modifiers

Identifies inefficient flow of billing information. Work with Coding Manager to increase coding and charge entry efficiency and productivity

Reports identified or potential coding compliance issues to the Coding Manager and education team to help in physician and other clinical staff education

Collaborates with Practice Manager and staff, and other billing personnel to resolve coding related errors and issues
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have:

Associates Degree in Healthcare field preferred or completion of coding courses

Must have CPC, CCS-P, RHIT or RHIA certificate

Must have knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD 10 coding principles and practices

3-5 years of coding and billing experience preferred

Must be able to analyze and interpret medical documents, and apply coding and/or local policy guidelines and regulations.
