Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, Sr. Creative Manager to join our team. As the leader of the creative team you will be responsible for overseeing a team of designers, copywriters and email execution team members. The Sr. Creative Manager will serve as a champion for establishing processes to ensure creative work is being executed on-brand and on time. This position combines hands on expert level design and/or production skills, design thinking, strategy and direct oversight to lead the day to day operations of the creative team. The Sr. Creative Manager is expected to support the team with impactful messaging and visuals to deliver concepts, creative strategies and marketing deliverables for print and digital campaigns for multiple retail electricity brands. This role is responsible for bringing each brand to life with current, relatable, persuasive and fresh content which aligns with designated market tactics. You are a key member of the Marketing team and will interact with multiple business stakeholders.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the oversight and direction of the creative team in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.

  • Translate marketing objectives into content that is clear, relevant, consistent and impactful.

  • Support creative strategy and vision for marketing deliverables for multiple retail electricity brands.

  • Oversee creative for websites, print and digital media, video, email campaigns (customer & prospect) and retail display.

  • Ensure quality control/brand guidelines on a variety of projects, channel, mediums and topics.

  • Identify and implement segmented brand guidelines for lines of business and customer communications.

  • Develop and manage hierarchy and standards for execution of visual elements, icons, etc.

  • Manage projects’ workflow and multiple project timelines, while tracking and communicating progress throughout.

  • Develop and present creative vision to marketing leadership team.

  • Stay abreast of creative trends, best practices and benchmarks in design strategy and content messaging to bring brand to life in market.

  • Collaborate with vendors for print, retail displays and collateral.

  • Adhere to company’s printing standards.

  • Identify and coordinate award submissions.

  • Oversee staff development by supplying support, coaching, and career development

  • Responsible for the marketing team project management system. Handling issues that arise, training employees and helping to develop needed assets within the system.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Working Conditions:

  • Majority of work performed on a computer in a seated position.

  • Some overtime required as special projects arise.

  • Travel (minimal, as needs arise).


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design, Web Design, Computer Graphics, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing or related field.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years consumer marketing & digital marketing experience.

  • Proven experience as a team-builder and organizational leader.

  • Excellent copywriting & editing skills.

  • Leadership in showing how strategy translates into concept, brand and the importance of consistency in voice.

  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

  • Mastery of MS Office programs.

  • Good eye for strong photography that ties back to the brand, message and business objectives.

  • Expertise in green living and sustainability programs/initiatives.

  • Superior presentation and communications skills.

  • Project management expert.

  • Strong interest in addressing and advocating for the end-user experience.


Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Figma preferred, but not required.

  • Video/animation editing skills with After Effects is preferred.

  • Energy industry experience is preferred but not required.

  • Bilingual skillset a plus.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work on a computer is required.
