JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*
Responsible for the architecture, design, development, testing, documenting, and implementing of Enterprise Management System (EMS) solutions.

• Analyze, document, and present all related regulatory, architectural, and operational requirements applicable to develop possible solution sets
• Analyzes, documents, and presents performance/capacity of existing EMS architecture and projected impact over time
• Conduct, document, and present vendor evaluation to validate vendor solutions meet all requirements
• Supporting, maintaining, and configuring all Solarwinds/Orion modules in a highly available environment
• Monitoring of network, database, custom applications, and telephony
• Developing custom monitoring templates
• Developing complex regular expressions (regex) to extract data
• Integrating Solarwinds to external applications
• Developing complex SWQL queries to extract data from the Solarwinds
• Upgrading Solarwinds/Orion
• Ability to learn and support multiple monitoring tools (Microfocus suite, NetScout, BMC, etc.)
• Develops, documents, and presents one or more engineering solutions to include technical analysis, list of materials, and operational/sustainment impacts
• Develops, documents, and presents implementation plan with device configurations and all required technical drawings for the chosen solution
• Collaborate and participate in enhancing organizational knowledge management environment
• Maintain and grow technical skill/product knowledge in Enterprise Management sector
• Obtain/maintain certification in key EMS vendors
• Participates in special projects as required

AS A SR ENGINEER YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:*

• Unix command line, troubleshooting
• Network troubleshooting
• Windows/Active Directory, PowerShell, troubleshooting
• Microsoft SQL
• Protocols: ICMP, SNMP, WMI, SSH
• Telephony devices (Sonus, Digi, Audiocodes)
• Scripting in Perl, Shell, Powershell

Must be able to submit examples of previous engineering level documentation solely written by candidate for review.

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical/engineering discipline. Combination of equivalent education, technical certifications, or work experience will be considered.
Architectural/design level certifications in EMS vendors desired. Vendors of interest include Solarwinds, HP OpenView. Design/operational level knowledge with ems on Unix, Linux, and Microsoft Operating Systems required.

5-10 years of directly related experience in EMS requirements analysis, architecture, engineering, and implementation.

Salary range: $130,000 to $140,000 depending on experience and geographic location.
