Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst, Global Axles will have responsibility for supporting the Global Axles leadership by providing timely and meaningful financial analysis. This includes Product Line Profitability, Business Case Analysis, Capital Expenditure Management, and various other strategic long-term analyses.
- Develop strong relationships with business partners and finance colleagues to maintain clear communication and understanding of financial results to drive sound decision making.
- Work closely with product strategy to understand costs and help illuminate action plans to remedy areas of concern.
- Perform business case analysis for new product programs to guide the group toward achieving its long-term goals.
- Lead analysis and reporting of global axle and North America commercial product line profitability to provide business partners with actionable product level margin information.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate from idea to design through project implementations, always mindful of customer concerns.
- Ability to present finance and accounting information effectively to all levels within the business.
Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 3 – 5 years of Accounting, Finance, or relevant experience
- Ability to prepare analyses, reports, and presentations using various software packages including but not limited to Microsoft Office (required), HFM, Oracle, SAP, and/or other (preferred)
- Strong teamwork and ability to interact with all levels of the organization across various functions
- Motivated, independent self-starter and focus on continuous improvement
- Effective oral and written communication skills including presentation creation
- Ability to function in a changing environment and meet scheduled deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem solving ability
- Exceptional organization skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities
This position is eligible for Cummins-Meritor’s Incentive Compensation Plan, which offers payouts based on company performance.
