The Position

The IT Business Relationship Manage will be the liaison between IT and all levels of leadership throughout the organization to ensure seamless delivery of IT solutions, enhancements, changes, and strategy. This role will conduct discussions with Heico functions regarding new projects, changes to strategies, implementation processes, IT timeline management. This role will identify needs for additional value delivery or integration if needed in coordination with functions and IT. The IT Business Relationship Manager will represent the IT function through clear and targeted communication. This role will be based out of our suburban Corporate Office, 27501 Bella Vista Parkway, Warrenville, IL 60555.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Engage with all levels of leadership within the organization, with a goal of understanding their business needs, cohesively documenting requirements and facilitating recommendations/enhancements
  • Anticipate changes affecting strategy including organizational improvements, technological advancements, and evolving organization needs
  • Assess solutions, communicates needs, objectives, and capabilities of each and supports the evaluation and prioritization of the new demand in the IT pipeline
  • Research review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes, and enhance these processes
  • Partner with all areas of the business to identify opportunities, business processes, functions, and procedures that can be enhanced, streamlined, or eliminated
  • Design and maintain a framework which guides all information systems integration and development, and a methodology which provides effective and responsible information management practices
  • Provide support and solutions for the integration of individual systems
  • Maintain an awareness of current and proposed technology issues and concerns within the organization and recommend potential solutions to meet expectations and forecasted results
  • Identify business capability and IT service gaps and contribute to improvement efforts
  • Continue regular communication with executives and department leadership to discuss issues, insights, policies, updates, and practices
  • Plans, creates, and conducts presentations to leadership on IT development within the organization
  • Specify requirements for current and future products by conducting internal and external research using multiple channels
  • Proactively identify, circumvent, avoid, and/or resolve issues and problems that create adverse impact on projects
  • Understand the core business processes across the organization, develop an understanding with existing and emerging systems supporting these processes
  • Create requirements documentation for new investments
  • Conduct ROI analysis for investment decisions
  • Create requests for proposals/information/quotes to assist the business in securing IT solutions
  • Provide Project Management on occasion
  • Assist in budget creation between businesses and corporate entities
  • Perform work with respect to peers in the organization whom set may set standards or policy
  • Look for synergies between projects/investments/business opportunities to accelerate business strategy realization
  • Set realistic expectations for workload/effort/timing/budget

Job Requirements

Education

  • Four-year bachelor’s degree required
  • Certified Business Relationship Manager (CBRM) certification preferred

Skills & Relevant Work Experience

  • 10+ years’ of experience in IT product management, system analysis, business impacts, and user needs
  • Experience working in a global organization
  • Proven ability to successfully create, manage and innovate user-friendly enterprise applications
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Ability to quickly develop new approaches to complex problems and convey ideas in a tangible form
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and collaboration with all levels and functions in the organization
  • Understand the IT industry including emerging technologies and trends, industries standards, solution architectures, and the vendor landscape
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Bring creative and best practices to business processes for improvement
  • Microsoft ERP ecosystem experience a plus
  • E-Commerce and digital strategy experience a plus
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity driving to clarity
  • Become a trusted partner to business leaders
