Human Resources is staffed with 30 employees.
Reporting to the Director, Compensation, Benefits, and HRIS, the Senior Manager, HRIS is responsible for the development, maintenance, enhancement, integration, support, and optimization of the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS); administration of system applications including facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs; and integrity of data used to generate all HRIS analytical reports/metrics. The position also coordinates with and informs the Information Technology (IT) Department of all major systems issues and updates for HR, Leave, Talent Management, and other modules.
The primary duties include: Manage and lead staff engaged in HRIS, records management, customer service, and administrative functions; determine work goals and objectives; and manage and evaluate performance. Manage the HRIS team's resource allocation across production support, backlog management, and strategic projects by partnering with HR's senior leadership. Manage vendor relationships including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and overseeing the resolution of complex issues related to project deliverables. Ensure comprehensive project plans are established for all phases of deployment that adhere to best practice governance and include business requirements that are fully defined, documented, and maintained throughout the life of the project. Make cost/benefits decisions that minimize risk to business operations while meeting project objectives. Establish long-term HR Technology roadmap including methods and criteria for vetting and prioritizing new project requests, analyzing how projects fit within the development road map, and defining high level scope and timelines. Manage the implementation of new functionality including determining stakeholder and business value, requirements gathering, testing, roll-out, and ensure end-user training and adoption. Direct HRIS initiatives including working with staff to create project plans and specifications for new HR systems or enhancements to existing systems, and developing and executing test plans and scripts to ensure functionality. Partner with the IT Department to resolve technical problems and propose accepting system modifications. Maintain awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and application of key technologies. Approve time off, coordinate staff schedules, fill vacancies as necessary, and ensure compliance with departmental and company policies and objectives. Decide/implement staffing decisions, performance evaluations, and performance improvement, disciplinary, and/or termination procedures. Make recommendations regarding hiring, performance evaluations, disciplinary and/or termination procedures. Responsible for the safety objectives, goals, and program of the organization ensuring compliance with applicable safety rules and regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree.
In addition to #1, must have six years of experience that includes: administering HR information systems (SAP, INFOR, KRONOS HR, Talent Management, Ceridian, ADP, etc.); developing, implementing, and updating system enhancements; designing and deploying HR automation and technology solutions; and managing HRIS projects.
Considerable knowledge of HRIS.
Considerable knowledge of cloud based applications and data integration between multiple application platforms.
Good knowledge of HR functions and business processes (Talent Management, Compensation, Benefits, Learning and Development, HR services).
Good knowledge of business architecture framework (structure, people, processes, and technology) to support the organization's strategy.
Good analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
Good project management skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good collaboration, consulting, and leadership skills.
Proficient in Microsoft 365.
Ability to think strategically, prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and drive business results.
Ability to analyze data and interpret requirements with a high level of accuracy, consistency, and detail.
Ability to manage consultants.
Ability to model business processes and identify and resolve gaps.
Must be available to work flexible hours in the early morning, late afternoon,
evenings, or weekends.
