Job Description Summary:
Project Specific Duties:
  • Provide direct leadership to a team of support professionals (network, security, server teams)
  • Ensure that standards and procedures are in place for the work of the team
  • Establish, create, and distribute governance and enforce the governance that’s already in place
  • Develop and/or oversee monitoring procedures and break/fix documentation
  • Ensure the right software and tools are in place to manage the infrastructure to include software monitoring, device, OS patching, and configuration management tools
  • Own custom built applications in the infrastructure environment and keep them up-to-date with any impactful software vendor code changes
  • Participate in the budget and project planning process by providing accurate estimates of work, resources required, scope and cost as it relates to area of responsibility
  • Review vendor/supplier invoices, as applicable, to ensure services provided/business activity translates accurately to spend
  • Lead current state assessments of business challenges and build improvement roadmaps
  • Conduct business assessments, develop future state business models and architectures, recommend improvements and create roadmaps
  • Accountable for team/program level resource and financial management; build and maintain teams through talent acquisition
  • Actively participate in career development activities and technical training of staff
  • Complete other related duties as assigned

Project Specific Qualifications:
  • At least 7 years of related experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Systems and/or Network Engineer
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in IT infrastructure management
  • Network engineering, architecture, and support experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
  • Creates a healthy working environment, and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
  • Results-oriented
  • Strong project management skills including ability to drive diverse group towards
  • Must understand how technology relates to the goals of the department and larger organization
Job Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor teams of managers, architects, and engineers.
  • Oversee and drive architecture for technology solutions.
  • Translate business requirements to technical specifications.
  • Enforce structured approaches and methodologies.
  • Support training for developers and analysts.
  • Oversee ongoing support and maintenance of deployed solutions.
  • Produce work breakdowns and estimates.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Manages activities of two or more sections or departments.
  • Exercises supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing.
  • In some instances this manager may have subordinate supervisors and/or managers.
  • Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.
  • Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.
  • Establishes operational objectives and work plans and delegates assignments to subordinates.
  • Senior management reviews objectives to determine success of operation.
  • Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect.
