How You’ll Help:
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our team responsible for strategic and tactical activities managing the product life cycle from inception to retirement. HelioCampus has a range of offerings that can be summarized as technology-enabled services delivered in a subscription model with business emphasis on multi-year contracts with predictable growth in annually recurring revenue over time.


What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute product strategy, including defining product vision, goals, and roadmap addressing unmet and evolving needs in the space
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including technology, marketing, client success, and sales to launch and develop products that meet client needs and drive revenue growth
  • Establish and maintain a roadmap that outlines development and investment across the product line to ensure the product’s vision, timeline, and commitments are met
  • Create and maintain product documentation, including product requirements, user stories, and product specifications
  • Define and track product metrics to measure success and inform product improvements
  • Build and maintain relationships with client institutions serving as product development partners for requirements definition, development, testing, validation, deployment
  • Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to inform product decisions and priorities
  • Maintain competitive intelligence and knowledge base with market and user/buyer persona detail
  • Participate in onsite product and client activities with ~15% travel expectation (Ability to travel by air, and valid driver's license to rent vehicles)

You’ll Be a Good Fit For This Role If You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • 5+ years of relevant, professional-level experience as a product manager
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Higher education industry knowledge (current institutional challenges, organizational and reporting structures, functional and organizational hierarchy roles and responsibilities across academic, administrative, and operational units)
  • Prior experience as an EdTech Product Manager focusing on institutional assessment, outcomes assessment, Learning Management Systems, analytics/reporting or related products.

Nice To Haves Include:

  • Experience as a product manager in both well-established companies/product and start-up environments
  • Prior professional roles in a higher education institution
  • Background in business process analysis and/or higher education industry related experience with key enterprise systems and business processes
  • Mentoring and management of product management team members
  • Familiarity with data analysis and analytics technologies (data warehousing, data visualization tools)

Location:
HelioCampus has three locations, Bethesda, MD, Chapel Hill, NC, and Philadelphia, PA. This specific role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to an office or client site. Eastern time zone and the ability to travel via major airport are preferred.


Compensation and Benefits:
