Job description
We are seeking a Sr. Product Controls Engineer to do the following:
- Lead and execute control designs, wire harness, EMI filters and terminal projects for Small Appliances platform
- Execute a project’s technical requirements, including Design Verification Plan & Report, Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, Drawing Release, Global Product Approval
- Interact with the other engineering project team, Performance Development, Procurement, Project Manager/Technical Lead and Suppliers to launch products
- Develop project schedules that align with the project team and communicate progress against that schedule
- Translate product requirements into engineering specifications and develop test plans
- Project delivery: on time, meeting requirements, at cost and quality
- Maintain the current products on the market (MOB), local engineering contact for any day-to-day issues and cost & quality projects
- Build Small Appliances global architectures and roadmaps to support product execution
- Gain and maintain knowledge and learnings from engineering work (e.g. A3’s)
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 6 years experience in an engineering field
Outstanding English skills, both verbal and written
Experience in managing the technical aspects of a project
Strong decision making skills with a drive to proactively obtain complete and accurate information
A self starter with the capability to work across functional boundaries to solve problems
Proven project management and very good communication skills
Strong understanding of electrical part design and overall electronics, including EMC
Proven control and motor system integration capability
Experience in working in a global team
Preferred Requirements
Understanding of electronics manufacturing process and certification agency experience is a plus
Exceptional systems thinker
Product Development and Execution Experience
Lean Product Development
OpEx Black Belt certification is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
