Sr. Scrum Master/Project Manager
Location: Houston, TX 77002 (ONSITE)
Duration: Direct-Hire

Job Description:
We are seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) with proven expertise in leading Agile Release Trains(ART), managing risks, facilitating communications, resolving execution issues to successfully deliver complex software implementations consistently in large environments. You must possess an advanced and broader understanding of how to implement and scale SAFe Agile practices in a dynamic environment across multiple development teams. You will be accountable for the overall coordination, execution, and delivery of value across multiple development teams while ensuring alignment with organizational strategies, commitments, and goals in a large development program. You will work with multiple development teams, playing a critical link between multiple scrum teams and ensuring coordination and collaboration in the implementation of our next generation software platform along with the continuing improvement of various integrated applications executing a wide range of business processes.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a full-time chief Scrum Master and coach leaders, teams, and other Scrum Masters in SAFe Agile practices and mindsets.
• Configure SAFe Agile to the organization's needs, standardizing and documenting practices.
• Coordinate major feature releases and ongoing delivery of value to customers where multiple teams, release trains, or solution groups are involved in development, testing, UAT and deployment.
• Facilitate the coordinated preparation of release planning, including communication and coordination with stakeholders and customers from feature definition to delivery.
• Provide input on team's resourcing, velocity, and capacity to address critical bottlenecks in the execution of features and capabilities and help manage risks and dependencies.
• Define and document metrics that should be tracked and how they should be interpreted to monitor and report on the progress of the ART, identify risks, and detect bottlenecks.
• Work with Product Management, Business Product Owners, internal development teams and offshore development partners to help ensure alignment in release strategy, release planning and execution.
• Drive continuous improvement through the facilitation of retrospectives to improve backlog management, release planning, iteration planning, release train reviews and release train coordination.
• Drive ART events leading to go/no-go decisions on major infrastructure updates to evaluate readiness assessment, risk analysis and mitigation, accuracy and completeness of deployment playbook, and adequate resourcing of execution teams to ensure that deliverables meet or exceed quality expectations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $150,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
