Job Description


We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. ServiceNow Developer to join our rapidly growing IT team! We are looking for a high initiative, critical thinker to design, build, and operate a greenfield CMDB solution. Reporting to the IT Director, End User Services & Collaborations, you will consult leadership on CMDB strategy to expand the team as necessary to support continuous business transformation. This role will require experience with ServiceNow and ITSM processes. As the Sr. ServiceNow developer you will evaluate decision and information needs across the IT landscape in order to classify and relate data to deliver business value. You will develop governance and procedures to ensure data accuracy and completeness. As the Sr. ServiceNow Developer, you will ensure accurate inventory and relationship of CIs in a multi-cloud environment and map them to business services with a high degree of accuracy.

As Sr. ServiceNow Developer, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and support CMDB and asset management databases
  • Automate configuration item discovery, updates, and relationships into the CMDB
  • Utilize ServiceNow to build a complete, accurate, and comprehensive CI inventory in a multi-cloud environment
  • Monitor CMDB health and resolve conflicts between data sources
  • Work with stakeholders to design a CMDB solution to support information needs
  • Implement solution for automated discovery and update of assets
  • Incorporate data from federated systems and data feeds to improve
  • Map non-discoverable assets such as business services to discoverable assets
  • Develop a configuration management plan and governance to promote accuracy and completeness of data
  • Develop a CMDB road map to support ITSM transformation
  • Work with change, asset, incident, and problem management teams to support CI data needs.
  • Assist in establishing processes between CMDB and Asset Management to ensure data accuracy
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure relevant data is captured for use in developing governance and procedures
  • Accountable for all appropriate risk and security measures for partner interfaces
  • Hire, grow, develop, and set goals for the team

Qualifications


WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems or 10+ years' relative IT experience in lieu of degree
  • 7+ years' experience in IT
  • Expert knowledge in ServiceNow discovery
  • 4+ years' configuration management or database design experience
  • 3+ years' ServiceNow experience
  • Cloud experience

  • Google or Azure cloud certifications
  • Enterprise system design experience
  • Experience designing for data ingest
