The Sponsorships team is chartered with bringing the T-Mobile brand story to life through live experiences at the national and local level including strategic development, planning, and execution of brand sponsorships and tentpole events. The Sr. Sponsorships Manager supporting T-Mobile for Business will sit one Sponsorship team. They will partner on the strategy development and lead execution of the activation plan across select T-Mobile’s sponsored properties to support T-Mobile’s B2B objectives for the T-Mobile for Business brand. This includes managing partnerships across golf, sailing and coordinating on asset usage for B2B storytelling from other major sponsorships managed by the broader team such as Major League Baseball and Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix.

The individual should have a passion for creating impactful brand experiences through sports sponsorships to engage consumers, extensive knowledge in partnership strategy development, contract asset management and strong cross-functional leadership experience. The role will manage go-to-market activities including strategic planning across marketing channels, execution, and measurement for T-Mobile’s sponsorship activation in the golf and sailing verticals. This includes partnering with agencies and cross-functional partners in media, advertising, social, digital, communications, customer benefits and more to deliver a holistic activation plan across a major sponsorship platform. This group will be responsible for developing and implementing solution driven programs that support T-Mobile For Business’ brand and business strategies based on sound business rationale and consumer insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage cross-functional efforts to deliver breakthrough Sponsorship activation across T-Mobile For Business’ new sponsorship platforms to support brand and business growth
  • Develop and manage the overall activation plan to create and implement 360 degree sponsorship programming in partnership with cross functional partners in brand, media, advertising, digital, social, communications
  • Partner with Spotlight Influencer team on talent assessment and integration opportunities across the activation plan
  • Lead experiential activation strategy and implementation efforts across major tentpole moments to support both B2C and B2B objectives
  • Partner with T-Mobile For Business brand and advertising team to integrate sponsorship assets into brand marketing campaigns and develop sponsorship activation concepts elevating the T-Mobile For Business brand among business decision makers
  • Partner and support as needed on B2B Hospitality efforts related to sponsorship activation
  • Develop and manage relationships with both internal and external agency and league partners
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators, measure, and deliver results
  • Track and manage T-Mobile for Business activation related sponsorship budget line items

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years experience in developing and executing national sponsorship platforms.
  • Proven leadership of cross-functional teams, agency partners, and sponsor relationships for or on behalf of a big brand
  • Depth of experience utilizing sponsorships and events to drive brand and business growth at a national level
  • Creative and strategic thinker with proven ability to deliver clear and concise marketing strategies and briefs to all organizational levels
  • Experience in B2B sponsorships landscape a plus
  • Proven sponsorship asset management skills with the ability to manage the development of core brand assets
  • Ability to think critically and react quickly and calmly in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, able to consistently meet deadlines; strong interpersonal skills, willingness to accept and provide direction, ability to work independently while remaining a team player
  • Candidate must demonstrate strategic and creative thinking abilities, strong leadership skills and excellent communication (verbal and written)
  • Experience in both B2C and B2B marketing disciplines
  • Telecom and/or Golf property experience a plus
  • Experience in competitive analysis, advertising, or media management a plus
  • Must be able to attend sponsorship partner meetings and events, possibly including holidays and/or more than 40 hours per week, travel up to 25% of the year
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field

Washington Pay Range : $114,400.00 - $154,700.00

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
