The Sr. Systems Engineer will consult with internal and external customers to provide server designs, create, and track project activities, and assist with the establishment of configuration and security standards and guidelines.

Job Functions:

• Manages all hardware and software in a Microsoft Windows and virtual environment including, but is not limited to, e-mail, Intranets, Extranets, and Internet-facing applications.
• Reviews, research, and recommends Microsoft Windows-based hardware, software, and peripheral equipment that meets business needs.
• Develop and maintain systems, applications, security, and network configurations based on company requirements.
• Ensure the integrity and security of the organization utilizing best practices.
• Develop disaster recovery guidelines and procedures.
• Proactively monitor health of network hardware using common network monitoring tools.
• Maintain network and system documentation.
• Provides 2and 3 level Help Desk support as scheduled (escalation)
• Ensure Validated Software environments are tightly controlled, and any changes (hardware, OS patches/upgrades) are thorough tested following Validation protocols.
• Other duties as required.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or commensurate experience

Knowledge/Experience:

• 5+ years in a Microsoft Server environment with Virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V, ESXi, P2V, Etc.) and Cloud (Azure, AWF, GCP) experience.
