Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Finance & Administration Team to assist in providing accounting and administrative services. Even though the Staff Accountant will be exposed to all areas of the accounting process, they will be primarily responsible for the Accounts Payable process for our amusement parks and food and beverage locations. The Staff Accountant will be the beacon of accountability and integrity and will be directly reporting to the Senior Accountant.

In 2003, CAI developed Victorian Gardens at Wollman Rink in Central Park and in 2010 developed Luna Park in Coney Island, at the site of the birthplace of the amusement park industry, and currently manages both locations. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for all cycles in the Accounts Payable process
· Audit procurement process
· Audit logistics process
· Assist in posting of daily cash receipts and transactions
· Assist in Accounts Receivable process
· Prepare monthly bank reconciliations on all company accounts
· Prepare various General Ledger account analyses
· Assist in the monthly closing process
· Prepare journal entries
· Schedule disbursements to vendors
· Maintain paperless document database
· Assist in keeping accurate Accounts Payable records through detailed reporting and documentation
· Participate in training programs
· Maintain professional knowledge up to date by participating in courses and educational opportunities
· Perform other duties expected of the Staff Accountant position and assist in all other critical needs of the Company as assigned and directed by the Senior Accountant
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Integrity, enthusiasm, energy, accountability and positive attitude, teamwork, continuous improvement, and process-based culture.
· Minimum 2 years of experience in General Accounting.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
· Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Knowledge of SAGE 100 ERP a plus.
· Strong analytical and organization skills.
· Attention to detail and accuracy in performing essential function's of the job.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
