Job Description
Individual will be expected to process bi-weekly payroll and assist in all accounting operations for a growing government contracting company. Great attention to detail a must! Position reports directly to the Assistant Controller.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Reconcile and post weekly time cards
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Process all associated payroll journal entries
- Prepare and enter month end closing journal entries
- Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Maintain state registrations for required taxes; withholding, business etc
- File Personal Property and BPOL forms as required
- Provide audit assistance
- Assist in maintenance of fixed assets register
- Record cash receipts
- Process AP transactions as needed
- Maintain accurate file storage
- Ensure all entries are in accordance with GAAP and FAR
- Additional duties as needed
Job Requirements:
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar
- 5-7 years in related work or industry related experience
Certification Requirements
- None
Clearance Requirements
- None
Other (Travel, Work Environment, DoD 8570 Requirements, Administrative Notes, etc.)
- Experience with JAMIS
- Experience with ADP payroll processing a plus.
- General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature.
