Department: Accounting

Liberty Bank is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to work for a community bank located in Salt Lake City, UT. This position is on-site, not remote, and will report directly to the Bank’s Controller. As a small community bank, you may be asked to help support other job functions, so plan to be cross trained in multiple areas of the Bank.

Position Overview

As the Staff Accountant, you will interface with external vendors as well as many different departments and management levels within Liberty Bank. The Staff Accountant will assist in the financial and operational closing, prepare journal entries, prepare general ledger reconciliations, financial analysis of balance sheets and income statements, summary financial reports and ad hoc financial analysis.

Essential Job Functions/Duties

· Preparation of daily and period-end journal entries

· Recording of daily posting activities

· Assist with month-end financial closing process

· Reconciliation of General Ledger and Bank accounts

· Preparation of reports and/or accounting schedules as needed

· Perform full cycle Accounts Payable function

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

· 2-3+ years accounting experience

· Experience in banking preferred

· Proficient in MS Excel and Word

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

· Strong organizational and analytical skills

· Excellent customer service skills

Pay: $41,305.19 - $71,391.76 per year
