Job Overview:

As a Staff Accountant, you will be an integral part of our Finance team with opportunities for learning and growth on all aspects of our team’s operations, financial statement reporting, internal controls, analysis, and projects.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform general cost accounting and other related duties.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and supporting schedules.
  • Maintain the general ledger and supporting schedules.
  • Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and contribute to monthly financial close process.
  • Complete and research reconciliations variances as needed for bank accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts.
  • Verify and/or complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
  • Provide outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
  • Provide information for tax filings with federal, state, and local government agencies.
  • Always learning and developing knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

Power Skills You'll Bring:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
  • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and accounting software.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, or related field, preferred.
  • 1-3 years of related experience preferred, but not required.
