Job description

We are looking for an energetic and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will have previous experience working finance/accounting; be proficient in Microsoft Excel; and additional experience in Sage 100/200 Accounting System is preferred.

Duties will include:

  • Recording Bank Transactions in the General Ledger
  • Printing and compiling drug invoices from vendors in Accounts Payable
  • Invoicing clients for drugs, over-the-counter items, and supplies per vendor invoices in Accounts Receivable
  • Generating invoices for dispensing fees, pharmacy payroll, insurance premiums, etc., on a daily/weekly basis
  • Issuing weekly statements to clients; Ensuring client files are updated with current invoices and contact information
  • Processing transactions (such as money transfer, deposits, and withdrawals) to and from clients and employees
  • Maintaining positive relationships with clients by responding to customer inquiries, complaints, and comments promptly
  • Assisting with month-end close process
  • Assisting with Bank Reconciliations
  • Reconciling client pharmacy payments with billed amounts

Key Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong communication skills (both orally and in writing) — ability to work with and communicate effectively with both clients and team members
  • Very detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines
  • Good problem solving abilities

Education & Experience:

  • Education: BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience working in an accounting or finance department
