Staff Accountant with supervisory experience | $ 70,000 + Performance Bonus | Onsite

Robert Half is looking for a Staff Accountant for a permanent opportunity with a rapidly growing company.

In this position, the Staff Accountant will have supervisory responsibility for AP/AR and ownership of Accounting Duties. Preparation es journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. You will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Also, you will take part in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position plays a part in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and cash reconciliations. Located in the Shelbyville, Indiana area, this position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work.

How you will make an impact:

• Supervisory responsibilities for AP/AR and act as point of contact for internal and external Stakeholders
• Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
• Manage schedules for Vendor and Tax payments
• Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
• Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
• Prepare month end balance sheet account reconciliations
• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
• Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request
• Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, and prepaid expenses
• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
• Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives
• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• Supervisory Oversight experience required
• Demonstrated knowledge of cash reconciliations
• Adeptness in Intercompany Accounting
• Comprehensive knowledge of general ledger
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• General familiarity with Process Payments
• Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
• Supervisory Oversight experience
• Spreadsheet and database capabilities, vendor maintenance and rejected payments tracking
• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
• 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
• Proficient analytical, quantitative and social skills
• Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
• Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
• Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
• Skilled with ERP systems / Glovia ERP a plus
