Reporting to the Accounting Director, you will have the opportunity to work with different members of the accounting and financial reporting teams as well as be involved in the month-end closing process, financial statement review, monthly account analysis, and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities
Here’s what you’ll get to do:
- Prepare monthly & quarterly journal entries
- Prepare monthly & quarterly account analyses and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and review analysis and comparisons of actual results to historical trends/budgets
- Handle payroll accounting, including HSA/FSA account reconciliation, 401K true-ups, employee receivables, payroll GL imports, and related expense calculations and accruals
- Review and reconcile vendor rebates with the procurement team
- Maintain effective internal controls to ensure transactions follow Company policies and are properly reflected on the financial statements
- Assist with quarterly financial and SOX audits by working directly with internal and external auditors to fulfill requests for supporting documentation
- Assist in the preparation and review of the Company’s periodic SEC filings
- Complete ad hoc analysis and projects, as needed
- Work cross-functionally with departments throughout the company
Qualifications
What we require:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance related discipline
- 3+ years of general accounting experience with knowledge of GAAP
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables)
- Detail-oriented, accurate and well organized
- Familiarity with month-end close processes and the importance of meeting deadlines
- Able to work independently and as a team member
What we prefer:
- Background in the restaurant industry or multi-unit retail
- Public accounting or public company experience
- Knowledge of accounting software programs such as Infor Cloud Suite Financial
- Certified Professional Accountant (CPA)
