Responsibilities

Position Summary:
This position delivers the highest possible quality care to outpatients and their families through the use of the nursing process such as assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. This position effectively interacts with the patients their families and health care team members prior to the procedures and involves teaching and pre-operative testing including but not limited to IV starts, blood draws, EKGs, and history taking. In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health, the (patient care job title) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients and their families.

Incumbents in this position shall comply with all applicable laws and rules including the Dignity Health Standards of Conduct and Dignity Health policies and procedures that apply to his/her job responsibilities, seek guidance when in doubt, promptly report any potential or suspected violation of Dignity Health Standards of Conduct, Dignity Health policy or procedure or applicable laws/regulations and when requested, assist Dignity Health personnel in investigating all allegations of violation. When called upon, the incumbent shall assist in risk evaluation and work collaboratively with facility/entity leaders to implement, monitor and mitigate risk corrective plans outlined by the Compliance program.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
Two years of recent experience as an RN in a hospital setting is required.

Education:
Graduation from an acredited nursing program is required.

Licensure
  • Current CARN license is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (AHA BLS certification) is required.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (AHA ACLS) is required.
Preferred:
  • BS Preferred

Pay Range
$80.10 - $104.07 /hour
