External candidates are eligible for a one-time signing bonus of $5,000 (prorated for part time roles). The bonus will be paid out as a $2,500 pay adjustment in the first pay check following the completion of a successful, 90 day orientation; the second installment of $2,500 will be paid upon completion of 6 months (1040 hours/prorated for part time) of satisfactory service in the department hired into.
Job Summary:
The Staff Psychologist serves as a complement to Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Care Manager members of the Primary care Mental Health Care Integration Program. PCMHI employs the AIMS model of Integrated Primary Care. Psychologists serve as supplemental resources to AIMS in UVMMC network primary care practices in need of additional psychotherapeutic resources.
Job Description:
Provides psychological services to patients seen in primary care clinics. Services include diagnostic evaluations, psychological intervention, and staff consultation. Provides clinical supervision and training when practicum students, interns, postdoctoral fellows are present or medical residents are present.
Position Requirements
EDUCATION:

Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from APA accredited program
-
Completion of internship from APA accredited program
-
Completion of at least 1 year of postdoctoral fellowship or comparable experience in a health psychology, primary care mental health and/or consultation- liaison psychology setting preferred
EXPERIENCE:
-
Minimum 3 years’ post-licensure experience in Clinical Psychology preferred

Minimum 3 years’ post-licensure experience in providing individual psychotherapy, clinical supervision and consultation strongly preferred

Strong working knowledge of cognitive-behavioral therapy and other empirically supported clinical interventions, crisis assessment and intervention, diagnostic formulation and treatment planning, general clinical and health psychology, and clinical consultation

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting

Excellent communication skills

Positive, flexible, and solution-focused attitude

Ability to quickly synthesize medical and psychiatric data and formulate effective and evidence based clinical recommendations.
Staff Psychologist must be Licensed Psychologist- doctorate in state of Vermont. Post-doctoral psychology trainee may be considered.
