SUMMARY:
This position will assist in filling open nursing shifts by coordinating the schedules of various units; including float pool, in-house registry and outside registry as needed. Consistently makes staffing decisions following the regulations found in the employee contract. Promotes and maintains collaborative relationships with other department managers and staff. Maintains and supports clinical staffing programs, including but not limited to ANSOS (Infor WFM, soon), Web Scheduler and Assignment Workload Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The specifications listed below are representative of the education and experience as well as knowledge, skill and ability required.
- High School Diploma required
- A minimum three years experience working in an Administrative Assistant type role, in an acute care environment is required. Working in an acute care environment as nursing clinician, using scheduling software and coordinating staffing based on acuity, may substitute for administrative assistant requirement.
- Current BLS/CPR for healthcare providers required
- Previous staffing office/scheduling experience preferred
- Must be comfortable working with and proficient using computers and software applications. Examples of programs used include Word, Excel, Outlook, Ansos, Web Scheduler, Infor WFM
- Candidate is comfortable working in an environment of multi tasking, frequent interruptions, and handling difficult situations with tact, diplomacy, fairness and courtesy at all times
- Candidate describes them self as detail oriented, self-motivated and able to cope with pressure situations.
