Stationary Engineer – Plant Operations - No Weekends

HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center is a 444-bed acute care hospital in the heart of Houston’s museum district. Established in 1975, the hospital has been serving Houston for more than 40 years. It provides a wide range of medical services, including cardiology, bariatrics, orthopedics, neurology, emergency care and more.

The hospital is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center.

What you will do in this role:

• Assists with monitoring boiler, chillers, HVAC System and all other Non-Clinical Equipment operations and maintenance
• Performs service and preventive maintenance on all boilers, chillers emergency generators, pumps, control valves and auxiliary machinery 90% of the time, in a prompt manner.
• Submits estimates of material and labor needed for each project and oversees the upgrading of stock.
• Operates boilers, auxiliary equipment and the HVAC system 24 hours a day.
• Prepares boilers, chillers, generators and related equipment for annual state, city and insurance inspections.
• Daily performance of tests on water samples to record and determine what, if any, corrective actions are to be taken.
• Ensures proper care and observes all safety measures in the use of any equipment and supplies 100% of the time.
• Performs safety inspections after hours for incoming clinical and non-clinical equipment.

What qualification you will need for this role:

• 1st Grade Stationary License, required.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• General maintenance experience in large facilities, highly preferred.
