We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Sterile Processing Coordinator to join our team!
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
Responsible for workflow supervision of all activites related to decontamination, packaging, sterilization, quality assurance, and quality improvements in compliance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures; Responsible for department staffing; Participates in new hire interviews and as well the on-boarding and orientation process; Utilizes chain of command for reporting; Coordinates the delivery of all instrumentation, reusable supplies, implants, and equipment to all departments, clinics, and physician offices. Demonstrates clinical competence to prepare, sterilize, install, assemble, and/or clean all clinic/hospital instrumentation/equipment required for surgeries, examinations, and medical procedures to safely prevent infections. Adheres to AORN & ANSI/AAMI standards within the department through policies and procedures. Responsible for staff education and for on-boarding and orientation of new hires. Responsible to keep staffing in alignment with established productivity parameters and to ensure staffing requirements are met 24/7. Responsible for the acqusition of new instrumentation and repairs within approved budgetary limits and for the acquisition of disposable supplies for department and to coordinate maintenance of all instruments/equipment.

Qualifications
What You'll Bring
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program
- Obtain Sterile Processing Certification within 8 months of hire IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management) or CBSPD (Certification Board for Central Sterile Processing).
- Two years minimum related Sterile Processing and/or Operating Room experience
