Stockroom Supervisor
This role is responsible for supporting the logistics and warehousing functions including material handling, staging, shipping and receiving. This will require managing the flow of incoming materials and outgoing products to meet customer delivery requirements and support operational needs.

Job Summary
- 1. Material and Product Management:
- Coordinate warehousing, shipping/receiving, materials handling and packaging activities to ensure timely and accurate presentation of materials to the facility and external customers.
- Ensure on-time delivery of available products to operations.
- Provide leadership and maintain a high level of professionalism in carrying out the goals of the Supply Chain organization and Ducommun.
- Be knowledgeable and have a working understanding in import/export compliance, inbound/outbound coordination, and reverse logistics.
- Manage logistics and transportation vendors including cost and performance.
- Operation of material handling equipment when required.
- Operation of online shipping systems.
- Perform additional logistics warehouse related duties as required.
- 2. Inventory Management:
- Ensure cycle counting of inventory occurs on a regular schedule.
- Ensure integrity of data collection and perpetual inventory records.
- Assist supply chain partners as we implement and manage vendor-managed inventory (VMI) programs.
- 3. ITAR Compliance:
- Ensure ITAR compliance and control through secured and coded correspondence and designated / approved communication portals.
- 4. Internal Communication and Collaboration:
- Support and promote company core values of honesty, professionalism, respect, trust and teamwork and utilize the Ducommun Way methodology to achieve objectives.
- Interface with every key functions and levels of the businesses as required.
- Communication of logistics and warehouse status in relation to on-time deliveries, shipping costs, material receipts, etc.
- 5. Data Analysis:
- Manage data such as transportation mode analysis and transportation past and present performance (profit/loss analysis, forecast reporting, etc.) to identify problems and provide recommendations that drive logistics improvements.
- Manage the logistics process through detail analysis and evaluation with support and guidance with supply chain manager.
- 6. Policy and Procedure Administration:
- Define logistics responsibilities, procedures, processes, and standards, and ensure adherence.
- Align program/production requirements with current procedures to ensure consistency.
- Provide leadership in developing, improving and implementing sound logistics and warehousing management and flow to minimize lead time and inventory while achieving sales plan and customer service requirements.
- Compliance with all applicable ISO Procedures.
- Compliance with all Safety Procedures.
- 7. Performance Tracking and Measurement:
- Help develop metrics for managing inventory costs, delivery times, service levels, and quality.
- Develop and implement specific objectives and performance measures to improve performance.
- Execute and align indirect strategy in freight and packaging to minimize cost with best efficiency and quality of service.
- Support development and implementation of plans with cross functional partners to meet annual goals which include supplier strategy, productivity/cost-reduction, lead-time reductions, consignment/Kanban implementation, PPV (Purchase Price Variance), inventory reduction, working capital improvement, supplier quality along with AOP (Annual Operating Plan) KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
- Support achieving the overall targets and objectives to attain overall budget performance as well as expected internal/external performance for best quality, delivery and cost.
- Establish and execute goals, improvement plans, service levels, business reviews and monthly reporting in consultation with supply chain manager and key business stakeholders.
- 8. Continuous Improvement:
- Lead warehouse space utilization and material flow improvement activities.
- Support Lean and Kaizen operating system deployment and related activities.
- Understand core processes of the logistics, warehousing and packaging arenas to provide input on cost reduction opportunities.
- Support development of standardization, guidelines, and policy compliance requirements across category level.
- 9. Organizational Development:
- Develop and maintain a flexible, reliable, team-oriented workforce.
- Assist in selection and hiring of new logistics employees; evaluate employee performance; develop and implement action plans for improving employee performance.
- Ensure that all logistics employees receive proper training and skills development.
- Supports and fosters growth and professional development of direct reports.
- Provides ongoing coaching and mentoring to staff to drive engagement and productivity.
- Provides clear goals and expectations to encourage successful performance of others.
- Provide and support career development planning for direct reports.
Required Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant supervisory experience.
- Minimum 1 years of ERP/MRP experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a production, material or inventory role.
- Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and documentation preferred.

- Lift, move and carry boxes up to 50 pounds.
- Able to operate motorized vehicles (fork trucks, cherry pickers, easy-go carts etc.).

- Strong math and logic skills, excellent problem-solving skills.
- Must be self-motivated, dependable, reliable, a self-starter with excellent follow-up skills
Work Environment and Safety Requirement Required:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus to review transportation and logistics documents, identify parts and clearly see operations and identify hazards in the production area. Use of computer screen and other electronic devices.
- Working Conditions are: 90% manufacturing environment; 10% outdoors.
- Noise level is moderate in office environment and logistics areas.
- Hearing protection must be worn in designated manufacturing areas.
- Fully enclosed shoes, leather construction, must be worn in all manufacturing areas.
- Safety glasses (ANSI Z87 compliant) required in all manufacturing areas.

Pay: $57,538.00 - $86,320.00 per year
