The Novelis Berea, KY plant is looking for a Storeroom Leader. The Storeroom Leader has the responsibility for ensuring the supply of materials from point of purchase to the deployment or use of the material by maintaining accurate inventories in serviceable condition. The ideal candidate is responsible for maintaining inventory to ensure service levels and avoid over stocks, implementing and sustaining MRO material management processes. They are also responsible for leading the Storeroom Coordinators who will be reporting to them.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Data Management- Material records data are valid and accurate
- Cycle Counting – Cycle counting is completed per schedule with accuracy reported by net adjustments for on hand quantity and dollar value.
- Receiving - Quality control for incoming materials to ensure accurate materials are received.
- Stock Item Addition – Coordinate new store stock addition process to ensure new stock additions are a business decision by the appropriate plant personnel.
- Vendor Management– Manage return to vendor process
- Emergency Purchasing – Manage and coordinate with procurement for after hour emergency purchasing.
- Matrix Reporting – ability to operate and perform in a matrix reporting structure, both locally at the plant site location and regionally in a corporate structure
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Basic knowledge of plants process
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills; ability to connect with all levels in the organization
- Strong Digital literacy with software applications proficiency in: Microsoft Office with a heavy focus on Excel
- Ability to learn and become proficient in all software and web-based applications as required
- Strong familiarity with MRO commodities, MRO inventory management and inventory computer system such as SAP and/or Maximo or similar MRP system and SharePoint or similar web-based system
- Must be flexible and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Mechanical equipment and parts is desirable
- Experience leading and/or managing a team
- Aluminum Recycling Experience
- Prior experience leading a storeroom and staff in an industrial setting strongly preferred
