Job Summary
The Student Employment Office (SEO) is committed to assisting students in identifying meaningful on-campus work as well as supporting managers in hiring and overseeing student employees. The Assistant will provide administrative and technical support to the Student Employment Office.

This is a part-time position (not eligible for benefits) working approximately 12-16 hours per week.
  • Field inquiries from students, supervisors, parents and the community, in-person, over the phone, Teams/Zoom, and via email.
  • Meet with students in person to complete onboarding and communicate Student Employment policies.
  • Update and maintain student records in Workday. Troubleshoot and resolve issues regarding job info, student data and timecards.
  • Monitor, approve and assist with job postings in Workday.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of student job descriptions.
  • Provide systems training to managers in the absence of the Sr. Associate Director.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of events.




The hourly rate for this position is expected to be $20-$22 per hour, depending on experience.

Education/Skills Requirements
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, HS Diploma or GED required.
Skills:
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and communications skills – oral and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills and experience coordinating projects requiring close attention to detail and strict deadlines.
  • Robust technical skills and willingness to learn new systems.
  • A demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships and a collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize workload with multiple interruptions.
  • Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Interest in working with students, staff and faculty.

Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents
Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working in an administrative support role.
  • Advanced level experience/proficiency working with computer database systems, word processing and spreadsheet software. Strong preference to applicants with Workday experience.

Standard Work Days and Hours
Approximately 12-16 hours/week, 4-5 days each week. Flexibility with schedule, however, must be between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday. This is an in-person position.
