Job Description:

The Student Success Coordinator is responsible for working with students across the enrollment timeline to place them in high-quality job positions. They are also responsible for interfacing with students, freight carriers, and companies that hire CDL drivers to lead to better outcomes for students.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a success coach with prospective students to educate and provide them individualized coaching on the CDL program(s) and help them understand the job placement opportunities available after graduation.
  • Collaborate with instructors and training staff to ensure students are receiving the education and training necessary to succeed in the trucking industry.
  • Provide support, outreach, coaching, and resources to students during their job search, including interviewing skills and job leads to ensure student success.
  • Track and report on job placement rates and maintain accurate records of a student’s employment placement journey within a CRM environment.
  • Strategically identify, develop, and nurture sustainable relationships with key business partnerships and corporate carriers to improve engagement and place student drivers for training and increase future business opportunities.
  • Support data-driven processes to identify and assist students that will lead to increasing the likelihood of their success.
  • Execute a vision and mission for student success within a comprehensive plan that addresses students’ changing needs professionally, economically, and socially.
  • Identify opportunities for increased student placement while expanding business partnerships through networking, cold-calling, and other adaptable means.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to evaluate a student’s needs and provide solutions to address those needs.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills that promote collaborative engagement with students and companies that require CDL skillsets.
  • Ability to maintain an appropriate professional presence in various business settings.
  • Communicates professionally with all TransTech staff, students, and clients while modeling company mission and values, and corporate competencies consistently.
  • Utilize strong and professional judgment when analyzing options to solutions for student placement.
  • Ability to travel to meet with key hiring decision-makers and recruiters.
  • Skilled in providing excellent customer service and support; organizing and prioritizing workloads and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Commitment to understanding needs and interacting effectively and professionally with people from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members and maintain an exemplary ethical presence and confidentiality while in contact with TransTech staff, students, and clients.
  • Maintain flexibility to manage shifting priorities and take action to redirect activities appropriately, function independently or as part of a team, and exercise sound judgment within scope of position responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess knowledge of the trucking industry and understanding of CDL requirements and regulations in the transportation/logistics industries.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, exercise sound and safe practices in all business dealings.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, or related field
  • 2+ years proven experience in career services or job placement in a higher education or vocational training setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and data management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
