POSITION: Summer Enrichment Lead Teacher for Comsewogue Summer Fun and Learning Program (PT)
ASSIGNMENT: Off Season: May 1, 2023 - June 30, 2023
Summer: July 5, 2023 - August 18, 2023
SITE/BUILDING: Clinton Avenue Elementary School, Port Jefferson Station, NY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises a Summer Enrichment Program with recreational activities for students entering grades 1-8
- Observes daily operations of program staff and students to assure a safe learning environment
- Effectively communicates with staff, parents, and students of the program
- Reports to the ESBOCES Summer Enrichment Administrators and keeps them apprised of daily activities
- Oversees, distributes, and monitors supplies and equipment used in the program
- Requires travel and lifting 20-30lb. curriculum materials/supplies

July 5, 2023 - August 18, 2023
Orientation, July 5, 2023
Program runs from July 6, 2023 - August 18, 2023
THESE POSITIONS ARE DEPENDENT UPON STUDENT ENROLLMENT AND DISTRICT COMMITMENT FOR SUMMER SERVICES
START DATE: As detailed above
SALARY: Off Season: $30.00/hr.
Summer: $31.25/hr.
Job Qualifications
- Appropriate NYS Certification required or Appropriate NYS License required
- Ability to create a welcoming and affirming environment for all stakeholders of the school community
- Must be available for both the Off Season and Summer assignments
- Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
